Job Summary
The Payroll and Benefits Associate will be a valued resource to the Hyundai Translead Human Resources team by working cross-functionally with internal departments across the company to ensure a smooth and efficient business process by assisting with the administration of payroll and benefits, employee data management, and onboarding of new employees.
Essential Functions
Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Assist with payroll by collecting, calculating, and entering data into the HRIS system
- Prepare and process manual checks as requested for new hires, terminations, etc.
- Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and resolve any discrepancies
- Process employee events such as salary changes, terminations, etc.
- Maintain company payroll files and ensure compliance with all payroll rules, regulations, and internal controls
- Assist as necessary with administering W-2/1095 process for year-end
- Assist with employee benefit administration: enrollment of new hires, benefit orientation with employees as requested, billing inquiries, and employee status changes in HRIS system (eligibility changes, department changes, address changes, 401K, Medical, Dental, Vision, etc.)
Other Related Functions
- Actively manage and maintain company HRIS and all employee personnel records
- Orientation of new hires
- Assist employees with general inquiries regarding company policies/procedures and general Human Resources information and escalate as needed
- Maintain accurate record keeping for compliance purposes
- Maintain and process confidential and sensitive electronic and hard copy human resource records
- Provide HR report support (weekly, monthly, as requested, etc.)
- Prompt payment of all HR related bills
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma
- 1 year of progressive experience supporting the administrative functions of an HR department
- Previous experience using HRIS for timekeeping and payroll (Success Factors experience preferred)
- General understanding of human resources policies and relevant regulations
- Knowledgeable of applicable employment laws (federal, state and local)
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to write concisely, persuasively, and to clearly summarize information
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and use discretionary practices
- Ability to work independently and balance multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

Work Environment & Physical Demands
Well-lighted normal office environment with proper ventilation. Employee will be required to use a computer keyboard and most around the office. Employee will be required to see, hear, and communicate in written and oral form.
